Arthur van Beek turned himself into a medium, a live medium. Equipted with two mobile webcams, a microphone and a huge speaker he walked the streets of Amsterdam. Both webcam and microphone were streamed to internet and the Rietveld Academy. At the Rietveld location two huge screens were installed enabling the public to see Arthur's face, and Arthur's point of view. A microphone with a live stream to the speaker on Arthur's back completed the 'live medium' setup, enabling visitors to talk to Arthur's surroundings, beyond Arthurs control.
The project was a huge success and the 'Live Medium' equipment is for rent to whomever is cuirious and has the nerve to give it go.
